NATIONAL LAKE CONSERVATION
NLCDC successfully conducted national seminar on International Lake Basin Management (ILBM) for the sustainability of Himalayan lakes on March 26-29, 2010. ILBM is a comprehensive management tool that advocates on lake governance. It has six governance pillars i.e., institutions, policies, participation, technology, information and finance. Integration of these components helps harmonizing lake issues. A total of 77 including national and International participants from India, Bhutan, Pakistan, Philippines and Japan were involved.
